Description

The picture is shot from the 3rd floor side-balcony of the ferry to the island of Texel, Holland.

The passengers mostly throw bread at the birds that fly with the ships from the shore to the islands and back.
A perfect opportunity to get really close. My arm extended over the railing to get within one meter of the birds.
This one came right at me and did a mid air stop. His wings went up (this capture) and than forward. His head is turning away. Probably afraid to crash into the black thing on the end of my arm that didn't look like bread this close.

great deal of luck and skill as well;)
it would have been perfect if that small wave on the lower right corner wasnt there though
and you could crop a bit from the left part, to get rid of one of the bird's butt;)
